The About Us page is in the process of being rewritten.  For the sake of having something here to give a very basic introduction to this site, you can read about the Chariot Allegory below.

The name of this site is inspired by Plato’s chariot allegory.  The soul according to Plato’s model is the image of a chariot, a charioteer, and two winged horses.  We can take this model to represent what is  considered today as the human psyche.  The two winged horses are black and white one being noble and the other ignoble, and are controlled by the charioteer who represents reason.  As we here at Chariot to Freedom have a definite goal so does the charioteer.  The charioteer wishes to drive his chariot into the heights of the heavens for enlightenment.  We only wish to drive our site to the truth and beyond by reason. Also, lets not forget about a little bit of humor.
